The 2.4-liter 161-horsepower 4-cylinder engine has gained 23 horsepower from the early-2006 model and provides good acceleration below 60 mph—but average performance above that speed. The 2.7-liter 185-horsepower V6 has 15 additional horsepower and more torque for better performance, but is no barn burner.

The 4-cylinder provides an estimated 24 mpg in the city and 34 on highways with both manual and automatic transmissions. The V6 delivers 22 and 30 with the automatic.
